The area and location of Crevillente

The town of Crevillent is easy to pass it by without a second glance due to the fact it has several access points to the AP7 Autovia within easy reach. It is within 20 minutes drive from Alicante airport and 30 minutes to Torrevieja and only 35 minutes drive from the house to several beaches. Crevillent has everything to offer a family including schools, health centres, sports facilities and supermarket shopping.

Local schools: Infant, junior and senior plus a college.

Accessible schools:
The English School in Alicante is 30 minutes away and serviced by school run buses (not general public transport) that collect from two points (Las Palmeras and Plaza Bus Stop) in Crevillent. These bus stops are 5 minutes from the Villa, so your school run at the beginning and end of the day is 5 minutes.
Airports:
Alicante airport is only 20 minutes away and serviced by easyjet, flybe, Monarch, bmi to mention a few. Murcia - San Javier airport is 40 minutes away and is regularly serviced from the UK.
Murcia - new airport is due to open shortly and is only 30 minutes away. It will be serviced by most of the short haul operators.
Shopping:
Crevillent has most of what you need easily available and frequently in multiples. There are the supermarkets of Aldi, Hiper Be, Lidl, Mercadona and many smaller ones. It has all the normal facilities for health including its own large medical and health centre and dentists etc. Eating out is always a pleasure with a great variety of restaurants. There is a large NHS hospital in Elche which services the population of Crevillent. There is a large NHS hospital in Orihuela that can also take patients from Crevillent and of course there are private hospitals and clinics in growing numbers.

The beautiful city of Elche with its designer stores and fashionable areas is only ten minutes drive. Elche is a very old and very historic city - much of which has been kept original. The latest addition to Elche is a new centre with all the top designer outlets, restaurants, a ten cinema complex and multiple bowling alley.
Crevillent is in the province of Alicante - a historic area with much to offer and do.

As described by SAGA - Living on the Costa Blanca (courtesy of SAGA)
Lying on the eastern coast of Spain, the ‘white coast’ draws visitors to its turquoise waters and miles of white sandy beaches. Alicante is the capital and major city on this stretch of coast, but it is Benidorm that attracts the most visitors. This is the place to go for those looking for a lively and entertaining resort, with hundreds of bars and all-night clubs catering mainly for British tourists. However there is more to the Costa Blanca than just beach resorts. The tranquil mountains and hillsides play host to tiny whitewashed villages that look out over citrus groves and lush vineyards.  These fascinating, medieval towns boast dramatic Moorish fortresses and offer a real insight into Spanish life and culture
